As my time in the Philippines is very quickly coming to an end, I’m constantly reminding myself how incredible this experience was.
I’m really not sure how I’ll top this whole experience… But I’m going to try.
I thought I’d give you all a little bit of heads up before you start wondering if I’m ever coming back to Canada. Don’t worry, I am… Eventually.
Actually, in 62 days to be exact.
Between now & then I plan to leave a few more footprints on this side of the world.
Environmentally friendly of course.
My last day of work is this week! On Friday. Following this weekend, I’ll be popping over to Palawan island to meet up with Meagan, who you should be well (virtually) acquainted with. We’re planning a trip up to El Nido where the beach has been calling our names…
Following our rejuvenating, all natural salt and sun spa treatment, we’ll be setting off for a live aboard trip to Tubbataha Reef. This reef is located more or less in the middle of the Sulu Sea and at the heart of the Coral Triangle. So… It definitely sounds like the place for me!! Scuba divers and environmentalists pushed for this massive chain of reefs to become a protected area. So in 1988 Tubbataha Reef was declared a national marine park, the first in the country. You can read some more about this amazing and untouched protected area at the link below, and stay tuned for some more thorough posts I’ll make about my trip in the future:
So from April 2- 7 I’ll be out of commission and under the water with some of my closest friends and distant relatives… #science
In the future, I will post some more information on which charter company we’re going with and how the entire experience was!
Following this trip which I’m sure will be absolutely life changing for me… I head back to Thailand to hang out with my mama & dad for nearly 2 months!
Within those two months, I’ll be travelling around Asia as much as I can. I don’t have a clear list yet, but I am doing my research… Trust me.
May 24th is the day I depart from SE Asia and make my way back to the country that raised me. I’ll be moving back to St. John’s, NL for an indefinite, but definitely not permanent, length of time.
You can take the girl out of Canada, but you can’t take Canada outta the girl… So I’ll make my way back to the Atlantic and hopefully visit my Rocky Mountain friends.
Then… We’ll just have to see what’s next!
Again, I’d like to thank all of you back home who are reading this & have been reading it throughout my adventurous stay here. It means so much to me that you haven’t grown too tired of my updates and strange stories…
Your constant love, support and positive vibes have really got me through this journey and I don’t know how I’ll ever be able to thank you and show you all how much I appreciate it!!
I love you all so much and knowing that I get to see you soon makes me so happy!! So thank you for reading and more importantly, thank you for just being you. Keep reading for more updates as I get closer and closer to seeing your beautiful faces again.
